Leigh Kinch-Pedrosa Named Contributing Editor of Salon .ll.

Leigh is proud to join the team at Salon .ll. as a contributing editor. Salon .ll. is an online space for literary news, reviews, excerpts, and interviews with a leaning towards work coming out of Quebec. It is a project created and hosted by Linda Leith Publishing.

Leigh has already contributed reviews to the publication, and can't wait to share her enthusiasm for writings on food, politics, and social justice. She hopes to highlight the work of small presses and emerging writers.

With co-teacher Matt Goldberg, Leigh Kinch-Pedrosa facilitated a four-week storytelling workshop at McGill University

As part of the Lister Family Engaged Science Initiative at McGill University's MacDonald Campus, Leigh and Confabulation's Matt Goldberg taught a group of twelve science students the basics of storytelling. The goal was to demonstrate the importance of storytelling as a means of communicating research. Students learned how to package information into scenes, turn themselves into characters in their own stories, and perform in front of a group with confidence.

Yarn: Ladyfest Edition Cancelled

The prospect of performing alongside Montreal heroes like Coco Galore and DJ Mausner had me doing back flips. Unfortunately, I will not be so lucky. Due to circumstances beyond the control of Yarn's amazing organizers, the Ladyfest Edition is cancelled.

Fear not. You can still catch my storytelling on September 9th with Confabulation at Phi Centre. Tickets available here.
